Sociology is something that we could go through our entire life without really thinking about it, or at least we don’t really know that we are. Every day we take part in a social environment. There are norms, beliefs, and cultures that we may not think are different from anywhere else. Human behavior in society is something that may be overlooked and unappreciated if you don’t ever take a step back and look at your own society and other societies around the world. My name is Miranda and I am a junior at the University of Idaho. I feel that sociology is very important because it is something that teaches you how much you do not know.
